An update on the Padres injury situation.
Currently the Padres are on pace for 1100 player days on the DL. Not Good!
The good news is Everth Cabrera started his minor league rehab assignment earlier in the week and Luis Rodriguez started his rehab assignment with AAA Portland last night.
We will probably see LRod first since Cabrera is a Rule V draftee and, barring a setback, does not have to be taken off the DL until June 23rd.
Josh Wilson will likely be sent down or released when LRod is ready and Burke will probably be sent down when Cabrera returns.
Walter Silva has not pitched well in his rehab assignment and will likely be designated for assignment soon to free up a spot on the 40 man roster.
Shawn Hill has begun throwing again and will throw a bullpen session today. In a session on June 2nd he threw without pain in long toss, but the pain return when he threw off the mound. Don't count on him again this season.
Cha Seung Baek has not thrown since his setback in May and no timetable has been set for him to come back.
Reliever Mike Adams has 8 appearances in AA and AAA during his rehab assignment that began May 21st. He must be called up by June 20th, but will likely be up much sooner.
