The 13th was certainly unlucky for San Diegp Padres rookie pitcher Cesar Carrillo in his first ML start ever. He allowed 4 hits, 2 walks and hit 2 batters and it turned into 8 earned runs.
That is right EVERY base runner he allowed scored.
Granted one of those runners scored on a home run by Milwaukee Catcher Mike Rivera off Luis Perdomo, but 8 for 8 is extremely hard to do for any starter.
To get that unlikely line Carrillo had to give up 3 home runs in just 15 batters faced.
I would guess Carrillo will not be getting the start the next time the Padres have a need for a #5 starter on Tuesday against the Cubs.
Will it be Poreda or LeBlanc?
