From Jon Heyman on Twitter, Peavy's elbow soreness is just a bruise from being hit by the line drive in his last outing.
For Peavy's sake I hope so. He has always been a favorite Padre of mine and I hope he gets healthy and pitches again soon.

Padres post 1st winning month of the 2009 season
Monday August 31, 2009
Tim Stauffer threw 6 1/3 innings of 5 hit ball and was backed up by nice defense and RBI doubles from David Eckstein and Kevin Kouzmanoff in the 1st to get his 3rd win of the season, 3-1 over the Washington Nationals at Petco Park tonight.
Chase Headley added an insurance run with a 414 foot solo blast to RF in the 8th and Heath Bell came in to record his 32nd save of the season and 18th save in 18 opportunities at Petco.
With the win the Padres improved to 15-14 on the month, their first winning month of the 2009 season.
Its stretches like this that give you hope for 2010. Without Peavy and Young and with 8 other guys on the DL, the Padres still pull out a winning month.
