2010 Padres Projections
Let me start by saying I am a homer. I am a San Diego Padres fan and my projections will undoubtedly be on the optimistic side. Probably not by a lot, but still on the optimistic side.
I am not going to apologize about being optimistic about this or any other Padres team. I will happily drink the kool-aid before the season starts and go into it expecting the best.
That said, here are my projections:

Jed Hoyer strikes me as being EXTREMELY cautious in his early dealings, as well as patient. But you've got him making three significant trades (or one blockbuster?) on the fly, in a season which has to answer several questions.
ReplyDeleteYour predictions, though, show a pretty good team that's going to still be competitive leading up to the trade deadline. With the Padres lowering ticket prices, opening the Toyota Terrace to low=price tickets and lowering the price of beer (!!!) to bring back the fans, is Moorad going to let Jed move their ace, closer and best player, and risk killing attendance?
